Issues with unnecessary 4k transcoding

Hi guys,
I have a problem end I dont understand way. My setup:
ethernet: 300 mbs
Synology DS1019+
Apple TV 4K
TV 4k
Movie 4k
What I dont uderstand why watching a movie 4k in this setup require transcoding?

What container are your files? MKV or MP4?
Are any subtitles involved?

probably HD audio and/or subtitles

  • switch to a dolby digital or dts 5.1 or stereo audio stream
  • disable subtitles

Apple TV tech specs your 4K Movie video and audio formats have to match up with both your Apple TV and your 4K TV. find your 4k TV spec’s Here

Also I looked at your Synology DS1019+ Can my Synology NAS transcode 4K videos for my device? in the notes it says that they don’t support third party software transcoding. so Plex on there may not be able to do transcoding.
