I really would like to record programs from the IFC channel on plex and watch them on my own schedule.
A while back I read an FAQ on this which mentioned Plex didn’t negotiate this into their contract with the providers. From a technical point of view it should be pretty simple for them to enable it.

Can I schedule DVR recordings?
Sorry, no. Again, due to licensing restrictions, Live TV channels cannot be used with our DVR feature.
Thank you for your response. Like the guy in the comment above yours said the technical part of doing this probably isn’t hard. I am pretty cheap that’s why I’m using plex, but seeing channels like IFC, it probably would be something I would be willing to put out a few buck for every month as a premium feature.
