I am trying to configure the Plex media server for the first time and seem to be having a lot of issues seeing the iTunes Channel. Under “Server” “Channel” I have enabled iTunes Channel. I have let it auto detect the iTunes Media library, to no success, and I have manually given it the address to the xml file (M:\Music\iTunes\iTunes Library.xml), again with no success. There seems to be little to no help regarding this issue on your site beyond what i have already done. Any help would be much appreciated.
Ok, so I downloaded the Plex Media Server for my PC and it instantly created the iTunes Channel and everything works perfectly. So, how/why does this same feature not work on the Plex Media Server installed on my NAS? I really don’t want to have my computer on in order to use this feature, this is the reason I bought the NAS. Suggestions?
Well the saga goes on. I have figured on the file path to the iTunes.xml file. The channel now shows up with all of the correct information. Unfortunately, nothing plays. Any thoughts?
Hey there, what is the file path you used to get to Plex to see the iTunes XML? I am attempting to get this to work, but cannot get the channel to show up. If you share the path, I can look into why the files are not playing.
