We have a several people who love trailers. Sometimes they’d just love to watch a bunch without loading a movie. Plex has such a great trailers feature, it’d be great to have a function somewhere where you could just set it going playing trailers. There could be a number of ways to implement this… it’d probably be something after going into a “Movies” library, or it could be on the home screen… I don’t really have a strong preference on how to get to it, as long as it’s not 10 clicks deep. Could be something optional enabled on the PMS back-end before it’d even appear, although it doesn’t really put a load on the PMS since all the content is coming from the internet.
It I imagine this might need its own trailers settings, to prevent repeats. But perhaps even pulling from movies currently in theaters + what’s in our Plex library is sufficient if the library is big enough.
Interesting thought…how about then being able to select the movie to the currently playing trailer.
So that it could show trailers in the current selection/filtered view to help pick a movie?

That only works if the movie is in the library. We also enable trailers for movies currently in theaters.
