Just lost my side loaded RARflix on ROKU

I have been using RARflix version of Plex on my Roku since the fill version is large, cumbersome, and doesn’t work well on my system. It buffers, lags, is unresponsive to the remote, and actually caused a reset 10 seconds after finally loading my first program. Also, I just prefer the easy clean way RAR handles getting around.

So, is there a way to get this product side-loaded again? I read something about a developers mode (if you had the code) or a beta
mode? Or, does anyone have a suggestion of a media player that will work better on my library with Roku? PlayOn is a pain in that it doesn’t remember what is played.

Roku has forced removal of all private channels. I do not know if they also disabled loading a channel in developer mode but, if that still works and you have the source for RAR you could load it in developer mode, maybe.

Any idea if the source is available? I loved Plex up until last night. It rebooted 3 times in 3 hours.

I can’t thank you enough!! It took us a couple days to look up and find how to load the Roku developer stuff. But my husband quickly figured out how to load this and it was much easier than anticipated. It is working like a charm!!

It is SO nice not having the player rebooting my Roku 3 times a night. It is also really nice to have instant response to command buttons. Do you have any idea why this would be happening with the full version? I do run an older version of Roku.

Without logs to show our devs I would just be making guesses. Looking at your account it looks like you run a Roku 2 XS (3100) which is not on our supported device list. It might just not be powerful enough to run the app correctly
