New to Plex, getting used to how different it is from Windows Media Center. (Both the good and the Bad).
My kids have a couple of shows they watch (Arthur for example) that are pretty old, and are on constant cycle on the various channels I have access to so there is always like 4 or 5 that are recorded per day.
In the record options, advanced setting, I see the count goes as high as Keep 5 episodes. Considering I currently have about 100 episodes recorded, that number isn’t going to work for me. Yes, 100 is way too high (I just haven’t gotten around to clearing them out yet).
Could the option of Keep 10 and Keep 20 be added? 20 seems to be the sweet spot for my use, and I’ve seen a few requests for this in past threads (I searched before I created this)
None of them is particularly popular, unfortunately.
There’s an alternate method of auto-deleting episodes as well: Delete episodes after playing. With this setting you configure the amount of time after which a played episode is deleted. This can ensure that only unplayed episodes hang around in your library. However, this setting is based on whether or not the server admin has viewed the episode, not shared users.
Also note that neither of these preferences affects partially played episodes.
