It looks like my Nvidia Shield plex client updated this morning as the UI looks slightly different. What I also noticed is that the “Remote streaming quality” settings were used instead oof the “Home streaming” settings.
My server and player are on different RFC1918 compliant subnets. The LAN subnet is listed on the server under Settings → Network → LAN Networks. The server sees these streams as local still from what I can tell. The Now Playing on the Dashboard shows this as a local stream and the bandwidth section shows it as local as well. I have not changed any settings on the player or server side for a few months now.
Seems like a regression in the Plex player on Android TV. What do now?
