Please make continue watching based on the language the media is being watched in. If a show is watched in a specific language and that language is not available in the next episode, it should not autoplay the next episode and the next episode shouldn’t show up in continue watching until the language it is being watched in shows up. That way the continue watching section will be less cluttered and easier to navigate. Dubbed shows tend to be released later than the original language.
I think what you’re suggesting is already covered in this existing feature suggestion thread… if so, I suppose it’ll be good if you can comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes.
That suggestion seems to be for selecting a default language and doesn’t mention how “Continue Watching” would work. I don’t need it to select the language per show. I watch everything in English. My default language is English and I’m watching the show in English. When English is available on the next episode, it defaults to English. That’s not a problem. What I would prefer is that once I’m caught up with the English episodes, the next episode not be listed in “Continue Watching” if it’s not available in the language that I was watching in.
Currently, “Continue Watching” will list the episode regardless of what languages it’s available in and regardless of what language is your default. This feature may need to come after that feature is already implemented, but I believe it is distinct. It would likely be a dependent. I’m not sure how features that require other features to work would be listed. That said, a version of this feature could certainly be implemented based on your default language on Plex. Since my default language is English, continue watching could have an option to only show episodes/movies in your default language.
Thanks for clarifying.
So you only want Plex to offer the option to continue watching if the next episode is available in the preferred language.
Yes, that is correct.
