Late Night with Seth Meyers episode match always one day off

Server Version#: 1.40.2.8395
Player Version#: 4.129.1

All files are named Late.Night.with.Seth.Meyers.<YYYY-MM-DD>.<Episode Name>.<Info>.mkv, but the Originally Available date in Plex is always one day before. (Eg, if the filename date was 2024-05-09, the Originally Available date in Plex would be 2024-05-08), and then the episode match is also one day off.

Is this a timezone issue? Timezone on server is UTC+02:00.

I’d imagine these threads over at tmdb is the reason why…

and

If I may add?

I never use TMDB for TV programs. I always manually switch to TheTVDB.

Won’t make any difference.

As I’m sure you know, plex uses a single consolidated metadata. Changing from TMDB to TVDB may change the order of the episodes, it has little to no effect on the metadata itself.

You’re right. The issue here is how the source material is stamped when released.

I stand corrected.

Possibly so, but then we have After Midnight which airs the same time as Seth Meyers, but those episodes are correctly matched. If I look at TMDB, the metadata about the episodes for both shows looks the same, but Plex matches them differently.

I fixed it by switching to season and episode notation, but still using Daily / Date as Series Type in Sonarr.
