Latest Linux Build (1.8.0.4109-42bd8c63f) Issues?

Upgraded the latest 1.8.0.4109-42bd8c63f on Centos 7.3 and can now longer access PlexWeb directly. I can however launch to it from plex.tv. Also I’m getting transcoder errors on play back as well as failure to update metadata. This is my first time ever having trouble with a plexserver package and I have been using it since 2013. Anyone else having issues on Linux?

Actually… found something…

Logs were showing a lot of these:
Warning: ex: boost::filesystem::last_write_time: No such file or directory: "/usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Resources/Plug-ins-8fa494d15

That plugin directory did not exist - how ever Plug-ins-42bd8c63f did. So I symlinked it to the old build number and all is well now. Looks like a config somewhere file didn’t get updated in the RPM package.

Do you still have the previous RPM handy?

Best thing to do is uninstall PMS . That removes /usr/lib/plexmediaserver entirely. When you install 1.8.0 again, everything comes back clean.

Uninstalled & Reinstalled 1.8.0 w/ yum. Looks good - first hiccup in 4 years! Keep up the good work
Thanks!

That hiccup is the package manager itself. I’ve seen it on Fedora in testing as well.

Thanks for the feedback!
