Loving the changes on the new update but I’m having one problem.
It seems that after the latest update the Auto Shut Down feature on my Xbox doesn’t work anymore. Tried it with other apps running (Netflix, Amazon) and the Xbox shuts down as its meant to after an hour of inactivity.
It used to work fine on previous versions of Plex but now it doesn’t.
I paused a movie and went to the gym and when I came back the TV and Xbox were off like normal. And when the Xbox booted back up Plex was still in the movie pause screen. So just trying to see what steps to reproduce to forward on.
For me it’s on the single episode screen of a TV show (so what you normally see before and after playing an episode) , haven’t tried it with anything else.
I’ve passed the issue onto the developers to add to the list of things to look into, but if we’re able to narrow it down it will help them immensely.
Currently, my guess is that when on the home screen/browsing screen there might be a background function (server alive/available type thing) that is keeping the app in an active state. I haven’t tested when a show ends or anything yet (I’ll do that at my sons nap time to see if it kicks in or not as I usually pause his stuff and restart it when he wakes up)
Hmm my Xbox doesn’t shut down at all now, even without Plex running. I’m on a preview build though so maybe that has something to do with it. I’ll keep testing.
