Legacy Plex for Android updated to version 10.28.0.3420 on May 16th

As this went unanswered New Experience Public Release Feedback - #1210 by dokuro I’ll create its own topic …

The app itself is 5MB larger in size when compared to version 10.26.0.2578 so something has changed.

I’m enrolled in the Android Plex beta program. My Android TV box (Onn. 4K) updated to 10.28.0.3420 as expected. But I can’t really tell any differences. It’s still the legacy TV interface (it’s not been updated). It would be great to see some release notes.

My Android-based tablet, which is also in the beta, gets the new experience updates, as expected, since 10.28.0.3420 seems to be an Android TV-only release.

It is related to upcoming casting changes from the new mobile apps to that app. There isn’t anything else.

I’m not sure why a line was not added to the beta release notes. but I will ask that be done

Thanks, had a feeling it has something to do with casting as upon a fresh install on mobile of this version it immediately asks to cast to devices.

Also FYI, version kepler-arm64-v8a-googlePlay-10.28.0.3420-367a93b4.apk reports its unknown to play protect during manual install whereas kepler-arm64-v8a-googlePlay-10.26.0.2578-6cc7ea1a.apk does not report the same message.
