Some of us put holiday movies into its own little library that we can pin and unpin come the seasons. “Tis the Season” suggestion is a really great idea but right now it’s drawing from a dry well because its not scanning my “Christmas Movie” library.

I quit doing the separate library for movies. I have separate libraries for Movies, TV Shows, Music Videos and Music. I found separate libraries kind of isolated them when looking for related movies. For instance, an actor in a Christmas movie probably has others in drama, comedy, action, etc. Also, it allows multiple genre searches since a lot of movies might have multiple ones tagged in them.
If you do have separate folders, you can add them all in that one library.
It was a little work to remove the multiple ones and re-add them.
Now, for Christmas, I did add a genre called “Christmas” to Christmas moves so I could search for that. (You can get into the debate about Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and Gremlins being included in that but if you add the genre tag, you have the power to make that determination.)
I have also created two playlists for them: “Christmas Movies” which has all Christmas movies and “Classic Christmas Movies” which only has the classics you might have on at parties. I shared those out to the few (family) I have my server shared to, and I do not see them come up.
I have also branched out into adding Christmas Music Videos. That is also a playlist I am developing. I may or may not add Christmas to that…thinking about that. I might also add that to the Christmas Music that I have, and maybe break it out by a classic vs. all playlist. I was kind of thinking about getting a consumer grade FM transmitter for my Christmas lights and posting a sign with one of those playlists.
