I use it, with Nginx, as a reverse proxy for Plex
Thanks! What’s the yearly costs?
What is the name of the web server PMS is using? Is it Apache?
My use case
I have a domain that I use to redirect to app.plex.tv. This gives me TLS cert security. If I install nginx on my PMS will\can it use the reverse proxy? Not sure if I have explain that correctly.

If you use Plex without any custom domains and reverse proxies and stuff, it will give you TLS security just as well, by default.

Just saying.

I did some streaming from the Bittorrnet channel and got a DCMA notice. Will just using app.plex.tv help with that?

Nothing will help with that, AFAIK.

Why would it?
It is not Plex server that is at fault. It is your use of the bittorrent protocol on your internet connection. You ISP will always notice that, unless you tunnel everything you doover TOR or similar. But this of course has severe consequences for your connection speed.
