LG App sees my computer but can't connect

When I start up the Plex for LG, it auto logs into my account and then I see my computer on the side menu but can’t connect to it. when I click on it, it ask me to insure that the Media Server is active and has a network connection (which it does since my media server is my main computer).

How can I get my LG tv to connect to the media server so that I can watch movies from my computer on my tv?
