I tried to setup on LGTV but then it asked me to use a media server
I am lost how to setup to watch
While Plex is offering a number of online media sources like their video rentals (US only), video-on-demand or live-tv streaming… its original use case was to watch media from a self-hosted server with your own media.
You can use the player app just fine without a server … although limited to those online media sources.
