"Libraries" are gone!

Recently I think I mistakenly deleted the libraries folder completely. I believe I have exhausted all attempts at finding how to get that back.

I do know how to add, delete, and edit my library folders (movies, tv shows, etc.), but “libraries” is just gone COMPLETELY.

Any tips on how to get it back so I can begin rebuilding my server?

I’m not quite sure what this means. Can you provide a screenshot from this url https://app.plex.tv/desktop – and include the left panel

It continually searches for server as well. I may have deleted the server, but I still have my account obviously.

I just don’t see how to build a new server if there is not a libraries option to build on.

It does look like you need to reinstall the PMS software; once that happens, you can see about re-creating your libraries.

First, I would make sure the Plex Media Server is not running on your Windows computer. If it is, stop it first, and try to restart it.

If it’s not running, you could try starting it again. You will need to do this from your Windows computer and not from another device.

If that doesn’t work, then download and install the PMS software.

With luck, your metadata is intact and your libraries might show up; otherwise you might have to recreate them by re-adding folders from your computer.

Ahhh! Thank you, that makes sense now. I did not realize that the Plex software itself was not a server too. Bad assumption on my part.

I did have to install a server on top of that in order to get things rolling again. Looks like I am all fixed now. Just reloading all the meta data.

Thanks!
