I have several people I share with, but lately the libraries being shared get reset in the server. The users are still there, and they can see my server, but they do not have any content. When I check the “Users and Sharing” section, there are no libraries being shared. So I go through and check the boxes and save, assume everything is fine, and a day or 2 later, do it all again because they cannot see any content. This happens with both shared uses and the users invited to my Home. Local managed users can still see content, but not anybody on their own account.
Just as an update. When I wrote the original post, I had just finished re-adding all the libraries to the users. Now, 6 hours later, I refreshed the tab and all the libraries are missing again. What logs do I need to pull to check this?
Your account showed that after those invites were sent, about 5 hours later, someone using your account chose to delete the the server. Deleting the server removes all shares from that server.
I see you have Plex Home enabled but didn’t put a pin on your account. Maybe someone you added accidentally used your account and removed the server. And a PIN and see if someone says anything to you/
Thanks for the reply. Was the server removal today? Because when I was trying to figure out why users could not see content, over the weekend I removed an old server and the current, then readded current server. Can you provide times for when that happened? The old servername was plexy2, if that helps. Would the user only be able to remove the server from the web console, or also from a TV app?
Yes that is the server that was removed. I can’t give exact times as this stuff is done in stages and times might not be exact. This has to be done from the Web app. Specifically by going to the authorized devices page and choosing to delete the server from there. It was recovered a few minutes later so maybe someone in your home did it accidentally and then reclaimed the server.
