So I have a rather large library (1882 shows spread over 2 root folders, multiple seasons in most). All standardized naming, all were already showing up in Plex in the library in question.
Just went in and looked, and saw “recently added” was FULL of stuff that had been showing in that library for a looooong time. Clicked on the library, and show count was at like 600+ and climbing slowly. I did not do anything as I was just looking for the first time today to see what shows I would be able to watch tonight. It also lost my already watched counts, and everything.
Data stored on an unRaid server (fully up to date as of last week) with 12 (12TB) drives. About 85-90% full. No changes there either.
This usually happens when the media drives aren’t available while Plex runs a scan.
If you have “empty trash automatically after every scan” enabled Plex thinks that you’ve deleted those items. The trash gets emptied and those items are gone
I find it odd this happened on Unraid. Were the drives unavailable to Plex for some time that you’re aware of?
