I want to scan my library daily at a specific time, eg, 1AM. There are no options for a specific time of day when selecting “Library scan interval daily”. It only scans at the same time of day that I initiate a scan.
Is there a way to do this?
Plex Docs → Server Settings → Scheduled Tasks
Settings → Scheduled Tasks.
Enable Update all libraries during maintenance.

Debug level logging is required. No need for verbose logs (adds too much information, logs wrap quickly, desired info lost).
Settings → Server_Name → General.
Look in Plex Media Server.log and rollovers, .1.log to .5.log.
Scheduled tasks show up as “Butler tasks” in the log files.
Search for lines with DEBUG - Butler:.

It then proceeds to scan the rest of the libraries on the server.
Depending on which scheduled tasks are enabled, you may see entries for intro detection, sonic analysis of music, etc.

You can use WebTools-NG to manually start individual Butler tasks (Read the Wiki. It has many other useful capabilities.).
This will let you see how things work without having to wait for each maintenance cycle. Run the task, monitor progress via Settings → Console, then pull and check the logs.
