Periodic library scan problems

PC: Asus ROG Strix GL10DH, Processor AMD Ryzen 7 3700X , 32 GB memory.

I have a problem with Plex periodic library scans. When a scan starts it brings the PC to it’s knees, I have to kill the Plex server to be able to do anything. I’ve tried scheduling daily scans but the problem is sometimes I reboot the PC which restarts the Plex server so the option to schedule scans for a set period after Plex restart is no good, I need a way to run the scans at a fixed time, say 3 AM. I have tried the option to update the library when folder changes are detected. That also slows down the system too much when it’s triggered. The library scans should run at a low priority but apparently don’t.

In Scheduled Tasks which you can set to start at 3am the “Update all libraries during maintenance” is a scan for new content
