I’m reading the recent Hyperion support within Rasplex and am drooling. I’ve got static LEDs behind my TV right now, but this feature, if stable, would set it over the top.
Is the Lightberry HD a suitable off the shelf product and supported in Rasplex? I’ll admit I haven’t done a massive amount of research on it yet, but there doesn’t seem to be an enormous amount out there in the limited Googling I’ve done. Ultimately, I just want to know if ordering now would be a good idea, since it looks like Lightberry’s only ship from Europe and it’ll take awhile.
I bought a Lightberry HD about a week ago. I was pleasantly surprised how straight forward it was, setting up the configuration file with the correct LED settings needed a little tweaking as the documentation over the net is sparce and incomplete. Took me a few hours to install and get it working at most.
I’m now busy trying to get the best lighting setup so at low light or brown scenes don’t have too much green or red. Overall I’m happy with my settings but you can always improve.
I plan on posting my settings once I’m happy with it but I should be able to post you in the right direction if you get one and have issues. The defaults don’t give the best experience but messing about is fairly easy and the effect is pretty cool.
Awesome news @edddeduck. My 5ft setup will ship Monday, I have no idea how long to expect shipping over the pond to take. I’ll keep an eye out for your posts, but if I run into problems I might PM you, too.
