i have read the following in the new 0.6.0 Release notes.
We've also added support for Hyperion! You can now use ambilight systems powered by Hyperion with RasPlex. Just select 'enable hyperion' from the Services submenu in System Settings. You can customize your Hyperion config by copying your config file to /storage/.config/hyperion.config.json. If you don't already have an Ambilight setup, you should check out http://lightberry.eu/.
So i have ordered for me the lightberry HD Kit. I got it last week and tryied it to get it work with the resplex 0.6.0.
i copied it to the location in the quote and enabled it in the Service Menu. But it dont work. Do you have got some more informations about the support ?
i tryied the OS file from the lightberry homepage where openelec is installed, and there i got it to work, so the issu is the Rasplex side.
Is here someone who has got rasplex 0.6.0 with lightberry working, and has got the right answer for me to get it working.
I saw some post that just required to copy your hyperion config to "/storage/.config/" and enable hyperion in the rasplex settings menu. For me this didn't work either. So I manually installed Hyperion. Autostart didn't work anymore (even after edit autostart.sh manually). But my pi is always on so that's really an issue.
I think it's nice Rasplex includes a feature like this, but installing manual is just 1 line. You will always have to add your own config.
I am using 0.7.0 and hyperion works built in using a Lightberry HD setup with no modding. Never tried 0.6.0 but I confirm I got it all working. The config is stored inside /storage/.config/ and you’ll find a default one there so just replace it. There are a few path differences in the config with the startup effects so make sure you keep a copy to compare your config to if things don’t work.
I Made an upgrad from my old 0.6 Version to 0.7.1 and it was not working. Then i made a new installation on the same sd card, and then it works for me now
