Limit searches to my libraries

The integration of 3rd party streaming services deprecates the usefulness of the search function. For example if I search for “Percy Jackson” (in quotes, which seem to be ignored) I may get results for my two Percy Jackson movies, but it may be buried between the other results from outside my library (depending on the client) such as “Robot Chicken”, “Slow Horses”, “Michal Jackson’s Thriller”, etc.

How do I limit searches to items that are just in my Plex libraries? I have not selected any streaming services but I am still getting streaming services hits. Note that this happens on all of my Plex servers - Mac, QNAP, Synology …

At least on some client types you are able to select which sources are to be searched.

If you are not using the online media sources at all, you can outright disable them: https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources

Thanks. Didn’t know that option existed.

All of the media sources were disabled.

Testing all of this out now.
