I just got done setting up a New PC with Windows 7 Ultimate with a small SSD drive C: for OS and a empty 2TB drive for Drive D: When I install PLEX Media server on to Drive D: will PLEX use any space on Drive C: with windows install ? And if so how can I stop that ? Not wanting the drive to be filled up. The PC also has 3 Seagate 16TB drives full of TV shows and Movies that I used with KODI but now with New Smart TV’s coming with PLEX was going to give it a shot.
My Main PC with Windows 7 I use with HDhomerun Prime with 6 tuners that are than automatically run through MCEbuddy which are than moved to My WDcloud and all my KODI’s see them. I also rip my DVD’s and run through Ember Media manager so I know I can control the nfo’s ,Posters ete etc.
Tried PLEX long ago and it couldnt find Blondie movies had no posters and yes they where labeled correctly Beware of Blondie
(1950)
Thank you one down and one to GO ! How to manage the media info on PLEX ? Another reason I ask is because just like my Original System I have a Duplicated one at a Vacation home. As my Library grows I take a USB thumb drive with me to update the other system and it has the Nfo’s Poster etc to copy them in and all I do is have KODI update the library. There is no Internet in the Mountains of Pennsylvania.
Umm no since Windows 10 or 11 or 101 will not work with a cable card that has decoding of the encrypted digital cable signal Only Windows Media Center can do that. And now Comcast no longer charges a FEE for cable cards because of all the streaming services. I even have Samsung Cable TV boxes. Love watching TV shows with NO commercials !
