Linux and WinTV-dualHD

I just got my WinTV dualHD stick. I plugged it into my Arch Linux server that’s running Plex as well… And nothing. The machine is headless, so I can’t test it on anything else, but frankly, I don’t want to test on anything else. I bought this for the sole purpose of recording TV on my Plex box. I tried the DVR link and it isn’t detecting any devices (localhost, 120.0.0.1 or the actual IP of the machine).

Dmesg shows the device as plugged in and identifies it as em28xx and later as the Hauppauge device. The tuner is identified as the si2157. I’ve installed the ivtv-utils as well.

Any thoughts on getting this tuner working or should I just got for the hdhomerun instead?

Yeah, that is for Ubuntu support. I am running arch Linux. Was hoping someone else out there is in the same boat with me.

you’re going to need to get those same packages running - you’re just going to have to do it all manually given arch is not a supported platform.

What PMS version are you running?
