I hope I am missing something but I see i can select “list view” when looking at folders in a library on Plex for Android but the minute I go into a folder, everything switches back to tile view. Am I doing something wrong?
I’ve seen posts about this go back to 2015 so was hoping this issue has been resolved.
Can someone please advise?
Yep, same here, you didn’t do anything wrong. But do you really need list view?
unfortunately yes, my video titles are fairly long and they are videos that are not in any database (Jiujitsu training videos)
Same issue for me on AppleTV. I have 100+ concert dvds/blu-rays separated by songs under each folder. The names are too long (artist_title_##_song), so I have to sit on each one to allow time for the song title to scroll. This has not been an issue since I started with Plex in 2015. Please add the option back!!
This became an issue with the last update for AppleTV but was working perfectly before. Please revert this change!
Annoying issue, It works fine on webview.
But on Android, no list view in folder.
List view would be great. For example, Star Trek movies show up as “Star Trek V:” and everything after the colon gets cut off, and the movie posters are unintelligible when so small.
List view would also be great when you are remote and with a slow connection. Save time by not downloading images.
Totally want it for a long time on Android TV client.
Because it’s also great to see how much time duration per episode while in List view.
So I can choose how many animations I can send to playlist for my child to busy him only to 30 mins, for example
Well I created a feature request for the android app. Hopefully they add it but honestly not counting on it.
List view is a basic and useful feature for many users. It’s so frustrating when developers implement it poorly or not at all. 
… And peacefully fade away with no response or resolution
