I expected that if I clicked an item in a list that I knew was in my library, or a friend’s library to which I have access, I would be able to play that item. Not sure this is a feature that I would use, but hope that others find it useful. Having the ability to stream it if it exists within libraries that I have access to might be useful.

It’s not in the web application. You will find it in the new mobile apps and at watch.plex.tv and Roku.

Huh? Where exactly did you get that idea? Playlists are exactly the same as they were before this new feature.
