Live TV 480 Stream Limit

Hello All,

I was wondering if the 480 stream limit in the Live TV / DVR feature would ever be removed the way it is in emby.

I have an IPTV provider who, depending on your subscription, can result in under 480 channels (or “streams”) or over that amount. They have many recommendations on how to utilize it, from the Smart-IPTV program on some smart TV’s, VLC on computer, or utilizing Plex or emby with the help of “xteve” to emulate a TV tuner. They recommend using Plex for 480 or less channels, emby for more.

I have tested both Plex with under 480 streams, and emby with all of my streams. I much, much, much prefer the Plex interface - it is so much nicer, cleaner, and more efficient. Add in the fact I have a lifetime Plex pass and emby requires a subscription for PVR and you can see why I would rather use Plex.

What is the reason for the 480 limit? Is there some way it can be removed - or an option in settings to remove it only for Plex Pass subscribers?

With the removal of the “Plug-Ins” expansions to Plex, there no longer remains a viable option of utilizing Plex for any sort of IPTV. This greatly inhibits my Plex experience as does the 480 stream limit. I understand the logic: who lives somewhere with more than 480 over-the-air transmissions? Nobody (correct me if I am wrong). But why restrict the streams for people who wish to use a bridge like xteve to unify their IPTV and PMS experience.

It would be nice to have:

One app to rule them all! One app to find them. One app to bring them all and in entertainment bind them - in the Land of Modems where the Medias lie.

EDIT: I currently am wishing to access 1840 streams
