Hello
I have a problem where running 2 servers is necessary, because a PS5 client is able to crash the server by switching sound track on LIve TV. It might be worked out when installing a fresh debian for a new server in the coming days.
However, my thread is about the fact that it is impossible to control which server the Live TV access is set for. I have worked around it by removing the account from Home, removing all library access and adding it back on the secondary server, via its own ip address in the address bar of the browser. It is actually working out, and there is not any access to the primary servers Live TV, but here is the problem:
For some reason the access to any Live TV on any server is removed shortly after, like in 8-12 hours. Maybe due to some kind of sync from plex.tv or whatever, but regardless, the account loses access to Live TV..
So I guess my question/request is… Why isn’t it possible to control Live TV access to a specific server, on the same basis as controlling access via Plex Home to libraries? In library access the servers are listed and you’re able to select which should be included, but come to Live TV, it is under “Restrictions” and only shows whether there should be access to TV and/or TV+DVR - Not restricted to a server.
Anyone has a workaround for the problem of losing access randomly, outside of giving access to both servers and telling the user (they won’t remember) to switch to the secondary server for Live TV…?
Thanks in advance.
