Live TV Buffering

Running the latest version of PMS on a QNAP TVS-471, 3.5GHz processor. Have a HDHR connected to it but Live TV streaming to a remote (UAE) Apple TV 4K buffers constantly.

I can play exactly the same shows and films that have been recorded first without ANY buffering issues.

Plex app on an iPhone on the same remote network works fine. I’ve tried all settings on and off but it doesn’t make any difference whatsoever. Live TV will not stream properly.

I’ve searched and similar problems like this have been going on for the last couple of years and it still isn’t fixed.

Any ideas?

I am having the same buffering issues with PMS on QNAP TS-251+. The episode is recording the buffering of the live broadcast.

Also, while watching live tv, PMS will buffer every 5-10 seconds, then quit; it is horribly frustrating!

I have the newly released “Kickstarter” ATSC 3.0 HDHomeRun CONNECT 4K (HDHR-5 4K) and I may need an updated ATSC 3.0 Antenna.

I stream on NVIDIA (P2897) Shield TV.

I am convinced it is PMS, as the HDHR-5 does not buffer when I watch it live.

PlexMediaServer-1.20.5.3600-47c0d9038-x86_64.qpkg update DID NOT resolve this issue!

Anyone else is having these issues?
