I’m excited about the live feature just announced for Apple TV. Here are my detailed questions that are not immediately obvious:

  1. If you’re recording an episode of a show, can you watch that same episode you’re recording without tying up another tuner?
  2. If you’re recording an episode of a show and assuming you can watch the show live as you’re recording, can you start watching live 1/2 way through the show, then rewind all the way back to the beginning and start watching from the beginning even though the recording is not finished?

  2. Not at the moment. Playback will start from when you start watching live. You can pause and seek around from that time onwards, but you can’t go back to the start.
