This is more of an observation than a question.
Looks like it may be a bug or oversight but when browsing the guide on roku while video is playing using the up on the remote it seems season and episode info and year for movies is missing. If video is not playing as in backing out or just starting it does list that info.
In cases of shows it only lists episode name and not season/episode number. Also it would be nice if it listed the original air date for episodes.

That has always bugged me since I’ve used a Roku, you can get to it all by going into more details for that show but that then causes the player to pause etc. It would be nice if there was transparent menu and it carried on playing.
Having said that, the only extra I see in the guide without the preview is an episode name for a tv series. It would be nice to see S1 E12 type info there. But that is moot point I rarely browse the guide without preview. My default usage is open a channel and jump straight into the guide by pressing up.
I’m hoping most of this has to do with the new guide provider, maybe it didn’t make it over yet.
I’ve also noticed some of the movie descriptions are simply “Based on the comic book” or “Based on the novel”. Not much of a description.
Not sure if anyone at plex is aware of this.
Also find that the record icon is red for all series even if not currently recording. I assume is should be gray like the android client until actually recording. And the “New” icon seems be scattered on all kinds of old movies and TV.
