There’s a navigation issue in the Live TV / DVR section. Navigate to the guide, scroll to the bottom of the guide and now try to navigate back up to the top level / horizontal navigation choices (Search, Recommended, Guide, Recordings, etc).
You have to scroll all the way back to the start of the guide; using the Menu (back) button doesn’t navigate to those choices but instead brings up the left/side menu. You can, at least, reselect Live TV / DVR and that “resets” the screen so to speak.
This problem exists in the Roku version as well. There should be a shortcut option on the remote to get back to the top somehow (although from what I understand Roku guidelines only allow some remote buttons to be used for specific things).
Not sure if Apple TV developer guidelines has similar restrictions.
Similarly, within Live TV / DVR, if I go to the “Recording Schedule” section and scroll down, I cannot figure out how to get back to the top menu. At all. Period. Scrolling all the way to the top of the list doesn’t do it. I admit, I may just be missing something.
OK. I figured this part out. If I scroll all the way to top, I can’t continue to “scroll” past the top. It bumps up against the top of the list. You have to release so it stops scrolling the list. Then one more up gets you to the menu.
I still find this to be a pain in the neck. My recording schedule is quite larger. It takes a long time just to scroll to the top.
Until there is a button press that takes you straight there, I have disabled “Remember Last Tab”. That way I can just move back to the main menu and then back to the Live TV section. Definitely not ideal.
