The link below indicates that Managed Users can now watch Live TV, but even after updating first via the server interface, then directly via the download page up to version 1.11.0.4633, I don’t see this option listed under user restrictions. What’s the minimum version for this feature? Is it beta only?
you have to go to the user’s settings
Settings > Users
Edit the respective user… the options you’re looking for are in the Restrictions section (Allow access to Live TV)

You may be part of the growing group that are running latest versions but not getting the option described.

and get the latest release 1.11.0.4633
Available to Plex Pass only
install it
And Bang, it is all there

That is the version I am running 
It’s suddenly there today… No new update or anything. No server restart. But it’s there now.
I’m having the same trouble, managed accounts cannot access live tv. There isn’t even an option when accessing from my local network. My Plex server is at the latest running on Ubuntu 16.04
Please help!!!
Disregard, I updated to 1.11 server in the plexpass release and it works now
I am still having the same problem…
I’m running the correct server Version 1.11.0.4666
correct Web Version 3.32.2
But the options i’m looking for are not in the users restrictions section…
that’s for any user…
just seems its the way things go…

Same for me. Given up on this now
Don’t worry about it. Even if you get it to work, channels with TextTV will only show fast changeing TextTV for home users. They can’t see the live TV channel anyways (at least if you are outside a native english speaking country).
But the best part is there is no PLEX support to be had or even acknowledgement of the problem

Yes I know, and I use the workaround for my admin account. But you cannot use it for Home users. They are stuck wih teletext no matter what.
Home users can change their setting too. Use Plex Web, switch to that user, go to the account page from the top right, and they get the same auto select options that can be turned off.
Yep I know, only thing is, it has no effect for them, so somehings different afterall.
For some reason, after having enabled Live TV under a specific home user account, the option to watch is still not showing up on the Plex app for Apple TV. Is this by design?
Does this work for anyone? It worked for a couple of hours upon release and haven’t had it work since then.

I have tried Roku and Web Client and it doesn’t work. I have updated my docker when it sees an update and still not working. Do I need the Plex Pass version of the server?
I have a managed user with Live TV enabled (technically, the restriction is removed) but still, no live TV available for the user. Any ideas?

Not sure what you mean by this. You are not removing a restriction, you are specifically adding an ability.

After updating the server to the latest beta, Live TV is now available.
(And the setting is called “restrictions”. I was just being overly pedantic, I guess)
