I have the Plex app version “3.1.0 (3.8.0)” on a Samsung smart TV, model HG40NF690, Tizen 3.0, and when I launch the Plex app I do not see the Live TV streaming option anywhere. To clarify, I am not referring to the Live TV & DVR setup, I am referring to the free Live TV streaming you get when you visit the Plex website online or on your mobile app. All I see when I launch the app on my TV is the name of my server I am connected to and my account user name, with no other options and no menu available. Is there an option I need to turn on to enable Live TV streaming?
Are you perhaps using a VPN software which terminates in a country that is not supported?

No I’m not using a VPN. If I try it from my phone or my laptop using the same internet connection it works fine. Just not from my TV.
It appears that this TV is a special model for “hospitality” use.
It might have a firmware which is specifically locked down in certain ways, which makes it incompatible.
It is also possible that the Plex app on it is simply outdated, and doesn’t contain support for that feature.
Considering that the version number of the current Plex app for Samsung TV devices is 5.93, the latter is the most likely explanation.
