Live TV stuck in loop after disabling subtitles

  1. Set your account to automatically turn on subtitles
  2. Watch a live TV (antenna) station
  3. Disable subtitles

The audio/video then gets stuck in a loop of a couple of seconds. You can skip ahead or back, but you will just get stuck in a new loop. You can’t watch the station without reenabling subtitles (after which it works normally again). See screen recording here.

I like having subtitles enabled for all movies and TV shows except for live TV because those subtitles are much more intrusive onscreen.
