Live tv to windows clients stop working after PMS upgrade

I loose the ability to stream live TV to Plex windows clients only after upgrading PMS server. Streams works ok via browser and the Plex mobile client.
I started having this issue after upgrading to anything over PlexMediaServer-1.24.4.5081-e362dc1ee-x86_64_DSM6 . The only fix right now is to stay at the older version PMS.
If I upgrade to the any latest version of Plex PMS, Plex HTPC and the desktop version are unable stream live tv.

Plex HTPC 1.24.2.3216
Plex Windows Client 1.28.2.6151

Update,

The to fix the above issue, uncheck direct stream under debug. For the HTPC version, under video settings, uncheck direct stream. Credit goes to a Dasbanunu in the plex reddit forum, who knew the fix.

This should work across the board for anyone running into the same problem.
