I have 3 different AppleTVs connecting to my my PMS and I use Xteve as a proxy to feed IPTV streams to the LiveTV section of Plex. Been doing this for a few years and it works pretty well for me in general.
Previously, if I was scrolling through the EPG in Plex, I could select the Channel Icon on the left side and when you click it, you get a new screen that says ‘Watch Now’ or ‘Add to Favourites’. Up until the last app update (at least I think that’s when it stopped working), the ‘Watch Now’ would start the stream.
However, now I just get the spinning loading icon for a few seconds and then it goes back to the EPG. No error. The only way I can get the channel to play is if I select the program that is currently playing in the EPG. It never used to be this way.
I’ve tested on all three of my AppleTVs and they exhibit the same behaviour.
However, if I try it from Plex Web, Plex on my iPhone or using the Windows Plex Player client, this function works fine. It’s only a problem on TVoS it seems.
Anyone else here can test/confirm if it is happening to them ?
