When I setup a serie of dvr recording I have an option about how many I want to keep.
The limit is often not respected, my HD end-up full, and I take a look in a lot of folder and see some accumulate lot more than configured. Maybe because a tiny error occurred with recording or deletion or whatever, could we add some kind of daemon or recheck at least each time an interaction happen, like a new recording? So for example, if a new recording happen, and we expect only 3 record, but we see that we have 10 records, and the metadata on these files even say that they all have been recorded by the same computer… well, could we delete the oldest files?
Also, if I deleted a series, Plex doesn’t ask me if I want to delete the existing files. Or if I change max from 10 to 3, it doesn’t ask me to delete the extra 7.
All I’m asking I have seen implemented correctly by now defunct Microsoft product.
