Trying to setup my hauppauge wintv-quadhd for live TV in my Plex server and Australia is no longer an option in the countries list to scan for channels. It was there only the other week. Why has it now gone and is there anything I can do to so that I can enable liveTV and DVR in Australia?

That’s Fine, I don’t mind paying for IceTV if I have to, However my issue is that I cannot add my Tuner card to my Plex server as Australia has been removed from the list available countries to scan for channels. Which you have to do before you add the EPG subscription.
Just select any country, it doesn’t matter if you are using a XMLTV feed.
I can select any country but it doesn’t let me move to the next step to add the XMLTV feed unless the scan finds channels. and none of the Europe scan find channels in Australia.
Seeing the same thing… man this is so totally frustrating.

We’re aware of this issue and are investigating. I think you should be able to use the latest public release (1.15.8 at time of writing) to create the DVR, and can then update to 1.16 if you wish.
seriously u suck take away functions from plex pass subscribers ! maybe i will have to rethink plex.
Having just received my HDHomeRun & looking to setup in Plex, find Australia not listed!
Most disappointing.
I’m not sure about Hauppauge but I just received my HDHomeRun and found that you can scan for channels first through the setup at http://my.hdhomerun.com/ and then all the channels it finds will show up in Plex during Live TV/DVR setup.
Could set mine up yesterday finally after the latest server beta release that came out yesterday. Thanks
When will the DVR setup allow me to put an Australian postcode in? 1.16.1 finds my HDHomeRun, scans the channels, knows I am in Aust and using an antenna. It then says it needs to know where I am(?) and won’t let me put in a postcode. This has brought a working system to a complete stop. Please address this ASAP!!!

You shouldn’t be presented with an option to put in a postcode. If you are, that sounds a bit unusual. You should see a screen that asks you to add an XMLTV feed. 
FWIW, I saw this exact issue today (Australia not showing in the country list when starting a channel scan). I simply selected Austria and then in the next screen chose the option to do a full European scan. The scan completed successfully and found all my local channels. I then pointed the wizard to my XMLTV file, mapped the channels I wanted to see and completed successfully. The result … LiveTV working 100% as expected.

What version of PMS are you using?
version 1.16.0.1226, as a docker instance on unraid6
If you upgrade to a newer version, you should have the option to scan Australia
I have the 1.16.2 update… Still not recognising hauppauge dual via USB on windows 10. Please help, not happy about investing only to have it no longer working. Thanks.
