I’m trying to set up my DVR after my SSD died and lost my Plex Server.
I get to the part of the DVR setup where I select Antenna and the Country. I cannot click next. It will not let me proceed to the next step. It tells me I need to scan. Obviously it’s going to fail the scan because I cannot select Australia from the list like I used to. I have purchased a subscription to IceTV for their EPG data, but I cannot get to the next step where I input their web address they sent me. My DVR is a WinTV DualHD.
I have the latest version of Plex Server (1.16.0.1226)
I have a lifetime Plex Pass.
Can someone confirm if this is a bug or whether or not Plex has dropped support for EPG in Australia? Because if it’s the latter then the promise of being able to watch and record Live TV with my plex pass is a lie, because without the guide data I can’t (well I can on any other system, just not on plex in it’s infinte wisdom)…hence i will be requesting a refund and putting that money into other software
Contrary to Robert’s July 4 post on the thread on IceTV forum (IceTV Forum - Index), when I tried on a Windows 10 computer to setup the Plex DVR with FreEPG.tv XML, it failed with the same symptoms as my Asustor NAS with the IceTV XML.
The common thread of both failures is version 1.16.1.1291 of the Plex Server.
As per icyTAZ on the IceTV Forum on July 3, I’m also reluctant to roll-back to 1.15.8, which you advised 17 days ago should not have this issue.
I’ll see if I can PM you the logs from the Win 10/freEPG.tv failure.
I am in Australia and am experiencing these same issues as a result of trying to correct the now loss of the Plex EPG, I am running Plex on Synology ver 1.16.2.1297-4b7ace214, and a HDHomerun Quatro tuner. I followed the Plex procedure that came in the email, and find the Tuner by adding in the IP address and finds it OK, then insert the URL for my iCETV EPG XMLTV, then the channels all show OK, but then when I hit continue it just spins and spins and never completes! same everyone is experiencing ! Is Plex working on this issue to come up with a fix ? soon?? Lifetime subscription to Plex !??
In Australia, running PMS Version 1.16.2.1297 on Win 10 with all updates. Ever since Monday (i think), I have lost my Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD TV Tuner from Plex. Works fine on PC within WinTV 8.5 player for all channels (Sydney). No issues for the past 7-8 months and bam! gone. Now I am not able to get Plex to install the tuner again.
I have reinstalled the WinTV 8.5 software and tuner drivers x2 times, shut down PMS and rebooted several times, but Plex will not recognise the tuner anymore. All other content is streaming fine. I accept, although very unhappy with the situation regarding the EPG being removed in Australia. However I should be able to setup the tuner and either use IceTV or another EPG provider. I’m currently on a yearly pass and was about the upgrade to the Lifetime pass. Not sure if thats a great idea now!
Apologies, I have now uninstalled latest version PMS and installed previous PMS version (1.15.8). I can now get tuner to be installed. However, of the 4x HD tuners I have only 2x HD are being recognised. Happy with that for now. Still not happy with all this palava though, especially since it’s a paid service!
