Hi Guys,

I am still getting to grips with Plex and working my way through qwerks I have found.

My first impressions are positive and I love the stability and professional appearance Plex offers. One thing I would be very keen to crack (if it is indeed possible) is using my own metadata to populate the Plex library.

I know there's an option to use local artwork (folder.jpg/background.jpg) which is great but my current collection 1000+ movies uses movies.xml metadata.

Are you guys able to advise if there's a way in which I can incorporate this, I use an excellent metadata tool (metabrowser) to manage my collection so am keen to continue with it.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You could maybe use this code. Currently it just uses filenames, but it could be adapted to use XML information. I guess the best solution would be a new metadata agent.



There’s also an XBMC metadata agent.
