Roku 3. Plex pms v 0.9.12.etc.
I live in an area without internet. I do have local intranet and can stream plex with my tablets on local network. My roku, jowever, is different. I cannot get plex to see my wired or wireless network to play content. Any ideas or direction would be appreciated
What version of the app is on the Roku? Version 4.0.8 now allows you to enter the IP address for the server which should help in your situation.
In case anyone stumbles into this question and wonders what solution I ended up deploying.
Mystery solved: I ended up switching to a different delivery medium. Roku requires internet connectivity. You can disable the ping through the secret menu ( Good Article Here) but this doesn’t always seem to work. In the end, I changed to a Nvidia Shield. No issues after that.
