Local Plex Web not up-to-date?

Server Version#: 1.27.2.5929
Player Version#: 4.76.1

Hello,

I could see that when I access Plex Web with my server’s Internal IP, the version is 4.76.1 While when accessing it through app.plex.tv, the version is 4.85.1

Is there a problem or is this normal?
Why is the local version of PlexWeb no longer updated at the same time as the Server?

The local Plex Web is always a few versions behind the hosted app. It’s always been like this for as long as I’ve known.

There’s only a few circumstances to use the local instead of the hosted.

There are lots of reasons to use the local over the hosted. In fact some people never use the hosted.

But yes, the version have always been behind.
