Hello,
I have an issue with subtitles sizes between direct play-ed and transcoded videos. The same (in name) size doesn’t render in the same way when the file is played directly by the shield and when it’s, I assume, burned in by the server.
For example, I have a 1080p tv show that the Shield is able to play directly and I have to set the subtitle size setting to “Huge” in order to have what I’ve come to expect as normal sized subtitles from normal viewing. I also have a 1080p anime which has some fancy font that causes the PMS to transcode in order to keep the style. When that is played the subtitles are indeed HUGE. Each time I’m switching between one or the other show I have to go to the main server settings and change the size option between Huge (for direct play) and Normal (for transcode burning) which is quite annoying. Is there a way to normalize this somehow? I assume that direct play and the the Shield are at fault here, so If it’s not doable, is it possible to at least allow size selection from the actual player so it’s not necessary to stop the playback and go to global settings and back to apply the change?
Other than that I have been extremely happy with this setup for the past few months!
