In my perfect world, if the internet goes out I want to still be self sustained. I’m self-hosted, after all. I want to have my user accounts/pins/permissions/etc NOT require an internet connection. This is such a pitfall.
Use case: internet goes out. Now nobody can watch plex, which at that point I might as well be better off wit ha netflix subscription.
For this reason I don’t use user accounts. This is a pain as I can’t lock people my house to certain libraries (EG: kids can’t go to Movies collection and start watching Saw)
