It seems so simple to me, I’m tired of matching movies to have plex come back and match it to something completely different. Ie: a movie named Bob that matches as Joe somehow. Bob and Joe are worlds apart but not to Plex! That and my movie covers. I hate messy posters and am getting tire of having to change them every few days.
There is a very simple solution to this! Once Plex adds the movie initially, lock the information in and make it the users responsibility to make corrections to the information. I verify every movie or tv show/series when I add it to my server. I shouldn’t have to constantly go through my movies and verify they are what they are supposed to be. I cringe every time I scan library files or update Libraries as I know Plex is going to mess something up.
