Plex Media Server.log
There is a history available in the Dashboard, but it might be gated by Plex Pass.
You could also use Tautulli for this type of query.
thank you.
but when I look in that file, it does not show the titles of the media-files that were watched last-night.
Of course. You need to have debug logging enabled to gain useful information. And if there was much traffic on your server, then the logs can “rotate” so fast that you can only look back one or two hours.
(Tip: don’t enable ‘verbose’ logging. You’ll never need it, and it will only lead to much faster log rotation.)
That’s why Tautulli is the better option.
yes, ok, but normally you only have the minimum logging activated. and this does not provide info about the video-files entered into the database, nor about the video-files played.
I have looked at all log-files, that have information in them of last night and none of them mentions what the server was doing at that time.
I told you, if you want to know what the server played, you need to have debug logging enabled.
You didn’t have that, so there is no way for you to know.
Use Tautulli to prevent such a situation in the future or leave debug logging enabled.
With a Plex Pass, you also get a Playback log in the Dashboard.
