I can usually set up most things but this Plex business is driving me mad. I already deleted one account.
I’ve had a Plex account for years and years ago I must have added a local server. Everytime I log on it keeps showing me that server and will not allow me to add my Netgear NAS server.
In addition, my IPad Plex is *** I can’t see anything that I’ve moved to my NAS.
Please help. I’ve downloaded the latest version multiple times for MAC OS. Are there any alternatives to Plex?
The first thing you should do it make sure you’re logging in with your Plex username, not your email address. I believe it is possible to have multiple accounts with the same email address, so if you’re using your email as the login name it might be logging you into the wrong account.
Also, you can have multiple servers on a Plex account. So if you have some old server showing up that you do not have anymore., go to your authorized devices section of your account and remove that server.
Then browse to the local IP address login of the new server and sign in on the server. Again, sign in using the actual username, not your email address.
